ASSOCIATION

OUTSTANDING

Your baby's brain will remember anything that is outstanding or unique.
This quality of memory is known as the Von Restorff Effect, after the German psychologist who discovered that for survival purposes, the human brain is designed to pay attention to and remember things that are different from, and therefore stand out from, the normal enviroment.

The items in the video are unique, yet presented in a simple manner, to capture the attention of the child.

THE RECENCY EFFECT

Your child's brain will tend to remember the more clearly the 'last time'. She will remember the last holiday; the last piece of music she hear.

The Von Restorff Effect is made more emphatic the more senses there are involved. All great memory systems, especially those devised by the Geeks, known as the mnemonic systems, were based on associations that linked outstanding images in multi-senory ways.
